Coming from a TaylorMade 580 Stiff. Shaft is adila 50 with mid high kick. The use of titanium and carbon combine to form a composite which save a massive 50gms of discretionary weight. The Draw head has seven yards more draw bias than the Epic in a draw setting and it's worth remembering Rogue's lower spinning, too, so there's every chance you'll want to move up a loft. I could not mis-hit this thing! Even a hacker like me can crack the ball down the fairway with a draw.
The end result is exceptional distance, performance, accuracy and confidence. This can compensate for a player who has a swing problem. Do i hit every fairway-no of course not- but i hit most of them and the baduns dont kill me anymore. Nabbed one for a song on eBay. So far, my distance has increased by 20 yards but far more importantly, I am hitting far more fairways.
This is by no means a long drive driver, but if u want to score lower its fantastic Been playing with Cleveland 460 Composite with Prolauncher shaft Reg for about 2 seasons and it will be for sale shortly. More consistent and slightly further - the old X was still a good driver. The tech's now so good the Rogue's crown is 63% lighter than an equivalent titanium crown. This driver completely change my whole game! These have a softer, more generous radius, so air effectively stays closer to the driver's surfaces for longer, reducing drag. I thought that the draw bias might have me hooking this thing, but I was able to keep a nice mellow draw on the ball.
It felt like this was a driver made more to keep you in the fairway, than to get you a mile down it. This includes freight charge and conversion to Australian dollars. I now get 75-80% of the distance. However, I thought I would give this one a try and the results so far are great. I have also played the worst golf of my life for the last two years. And once you get the right shaft etc. Easy to work the ball right to left especially with the built-in draw or vice versa with a fade. Distance as good as any Ive hit in last 2 years of searching too. So far I i average about 290 with this club in the fairway. My first impression was that it looked like a ladies range and the name Rogue to me makes me think of the character from the X-men comics who is a woman. I gained 25 yards in carry distance alone.
I found the dispersion with the Callaway Rogue driver to be a bit tighter than the Epic which is great news for someone like me who struggles with the driver. Callaway did a great job of telling this story last year with some clever marketing. Not only that, but we also found this Driver to be a pretty easy club to hit. Greta club 1 out of 1 people found the follow review helpful. The noise at impact is different from Titanium drivers, but easy to get used to, and not as offensive as some other drivers. I had taken out a demo rogue draw driver prior to purchase and was convinced that this was the one for me.
Let the club do the work and the results will speak louder than the sound it makes. Callaway drivers are golf clubs that use design features to help golfers have more success off the tee. There is something loose inside, and it sounds awful when it strikes the ball. This combined with some sharp looking graphics, does help to make for quite an impressive looking golf club. I have owned numerous Callaway drivers as well as Callaway fairway clubs, hybrids and irons most of which have purchased through Callaway Preowned. Visually the the Rogue is larger than the Epic but they are both still 460cc. Bought the Driver two days ago at Golf Galaxy.
I hit the ball a long way but have a bad tendency to slice. Last weekend I still hit 3 out of bounds. Meaning that decent results were possible, but it does require a certain degree of effort, due to the forgiving sweet spot. You cant putt for dough if you are in the trees all the time. This is supposed to produce faster ball speeds. Every tee shot is straight and right down the center of the fairway.
